Partner / Head of AI Research

Avi Segal

A tech executive turned AI researcher, early in his career Avi founded Quiver, a ML-based search and classification company that was sold to Inktomi. As an executive he managed a R&D unit with 150+ engineers at HP Software. After a couple decades in the tech industry he shifted to academia, with a PhD focusing on AI in Education and Psychology. He is currently a Research Scientist at Ben Gurion University, with 40+ published research papers. Avi is passionate about using AI to personalize human-centered digital experiences, and enjoys swimming, cooking, and spending time with his three kids.

Partner / Chief Data Scientist

Tal Yifat

Tal is a data science leader with 20 years of experience in data science, software development and research. He led the data science program for MetLife Investment Management ($600B in AUM), with work in areas such as credit risk, ESG analytics, asset flow forecasting, and Natural Language Processing. He has PhD from the University of Chicago focusing on innovation processes that lead to alignment of commercial success with sustainability. When he’s not obsessing about ways to bridge the gap between data science and business value, you can find him enjoying music, exercising, or spending time with family and friends.
